Unfortunately there was an incident outside school this afternoon where one of our students had an accident on her bike. She is in the care of her parents, she is receiving medical attention and we anticipate her making a full recovery. Thank you for your good wishes and support. We will update the community when we know more.
Orchards Academy
With the prospect of the Met Office issuing weather warnings for heat this week we would like to offer students the option of wearing school PE Kit in place of regular uniform. We will communicate if this is to be continued beyond this week on Friday. Please note that school PE Kit must be as per the policy and not include any of the following: Short shorts (above the knee) Bottoms with logos on (must be plain) T-shirts other than with the school logo embroidered Hoodies/ sweatshirts of any kind This measure is to support students in focusing on learning and any uniform infringements will be addressed in the usual way. Please encourage students to bring water to school but a reminder that anti-social behaviour, including water guns, will not be tolerated.
