Mathematics

Our ambitious curriculum is designed to inspire, encourage, and challenge students of different ability levels in their study of mathematics. Following the National Curriculum, we intend to develop mathematically powerful students by teaching them to think, to communicate and to understand mathematical tools and techniques. Development of skills, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving techniques are cornerstones in our spiralised curriculum. 

These techniques are monitored through regular formative and summative assessment. Feedback is provided and opportunities to act upon this are embedded within our curriculum. We aim to provide students with the logical reasoning skills they need to become successful in their future careers, to enrich their personal capacities and to enjoy and appreciate mathematics.
