Numeracy Day- Year 8 -Wednesday 18 May
Orchards Academy enjoyed celebrating Numeracy Day yesterday. Year 8 students were able to see how numeracy skills can be applied across the curriculum. They especially enjoyed seeing how numeracy is embedded in music and it was a pleasure to see their positive engagement and enthusiasm during their lessons. At lunchtime students participated in a number of activities and competitions. They focussed on looking at time zones across the world, currencies and conversion rates, probability and budgeting. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a success and thank you to all the students for their participation throughout the day.
