Year 9 STEM Day
Students had to design and construct a hospital building with the aim of being the tallest structure with the lowest cost, lead time and carbon footprint. They had a budget of £200 from which they had to purchase their construction materials and contend with changing market prices.
It was excellent to see students working well as a team and we had some brilliant designs
Most importantly, the students seemed to enjoy the day. Many were inspired to consider careers in civil engineering and every single student was a credit to the school.
