National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships
Ten students took part in the National Junior Indoor Rowing championships that took place during the first week in March. Nationally there were over 7000 entries from junior rowers across the country in each category, there were some very good performances with several students reaching the silver standard of 410 metres rowed in two minutes and one Yr 7 student achieved the gold standard of 510 metres rowed in 2 minutes. The top Orchards students managed to place in the top 200, which is a very good achievement. Rowing club takes place in the PE department on Monday and Wednesday lunchtimes.
