The Grove Specialist Resource Provision

The grove

The Grove is an Autistic Spectrum Provision attached to a mainstream  secondary academy.

Currently the provision has capacity for 10 students with EHCP’s with ASD named as their main area of need. Placement is managed by the local authority.

Access to the SRP at Orchards Academy: The access rationale for the unit is that students should be of moderate ability, have a diagnosis of ASD and be able to access a mainstream curriculum.  The SRP will function as a support hub so that students can have access to a GCSE curriculum whilst receiving dedicated specialist support for their Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

The students spend form time in the centre with specialist staff who help them to manage their day.

Students have a carefully personalised timetables that takes account of their individual needs.

‘Any human anywhere will blossom in a hundred unexpected talents and capacities simply by being given the opportunity to do so.’
