Year 10 Dungeness Nuclear Power Station Trip

A group of top set year 10 students took part in a science trip to Dungeness Nuclear Power Station this term. Students were given a tour of the site with a focus on how nuclear power generates electricity for homes all over the UK. Students were engaged in completing a series of STEM activities including a research competition task, and pylon engineering. The staff at Dungeness stated that our students were some of the most well behaved students that they have had the pleasure of meeting and also mentioned that some of the pylon designs were truly fantastic.

We would very much like to thank the staff at Dungeness B Power Station for their efforts in preparing such an engaging and informative trip. To any parent/student that would wish to visit the power station for a tour to enhance their knowledge on energy resources or radioactivity, it is free of charge and very interesting! Please get in touch with the ‘Dungeness B Visitor Centre’ as tours do require advanced booking.
