July Gardening Club Update

It has been a hot few weeks in gardening club as the sun has made the ground too hard to dig.

We have been busy watering the Jubilee tubs and our sunflowers and have managed to harvest a few new potatoes.

We had a second picking from our rhubarb and one of the students took it home and returned having made it in to crumbles which were lovely.

The broad beans sadly shrivelled in the heat giving us only a handful of produce so we will try them again next Spring.

We hope to be able to lift the carrots and garlic from the ground before the summer break.

In September we have new plans to make the garden easier to manage and more productive so watch this space for more info.

Happy Gardening
