Trust's Got Talent

On Tuesday 10th July, Orchards Got Talent joint winners Saskia Hills in Year 9 and Libby Coe in Year 8 attended Trust's Got Talent - a talent competition pitting students from all of the different TKAT schools against each other.  Both girls did themselves proud with Saskia singing 'Somebody to Love' from We Will Rock You and Libby performing a modern dance routine.

Very excitingly, Saskia achieved third place! A real achievement against many other schools, some of whom were bringing sixth formers.

There was a panel of four celebrity judges including Jeremy Irvine (the lead in the film of Warhorse.  Not the horse lead, the male lead), Liam Bergin (Danny Mitchell from Eastenders), Mark Wheeller (playwright, Too Much Punch For Judy) and Cameron Bloomfield (singer-songwriter).  The comments they made on the girls were incredible with Saskia being told "If you were a World Cup team you'd be England", "100% confidence, you owned it" and "it was amazing", and Libby being told "graceful, so talented", "an absolute natural", "meticulously on point", "stunning" and "flawless!".

A huge well done to both students, who really did Orchards Academy proud.
