Debate Club visit to the Houses of Parliament

Members of Debate Club went to see first-hand where the laws that define our country are made and debated by visiting the Houses of Parliament. We were treated to a fascinating and in depth tour of both the Houses of Lords and the House of Commons.
After the tour commenced, the students asked Sir Michael Fallon, the local MP for Sevenoaks and Swanley, questions about what it's like being a Member of Parliament and how he got involved politics. This was followed by a whistlestop sightseeing tour of some of London's key attractions (such as Downing Street and Buckingham Palace). It really was a fascinating and fun day!
