World Book Day

On Thursday 7th March, students and staff celebrated World Book Day.

Students were shown a presentation during form time explaining the significance of World Book Day, and then took part in a game where they were tasked with working out the tiles of famous books which had been depicted as emojis.

For students in Years 7 to 10, the first ten minutes of their lessons were dedicated to reading and exploring an opening chapter of a different book.

Activities continued into break and lunch, including a treasure hunt with book-themed clues, a SHELFIE contest and a bookmark design competition.
